Headquartered in Maryland, Glacier was founded by former U.S. intelligence professionals with firsthand experience securing mobile devices in high-risk environments. That experience gives us a practical understanding of the challenges people face protecting their data and communications—both during day-to-day operations and while traveling.
In 2015, we started Glacier to solve the mobility and security gaps we encountered across government, military, and commercial sectors. Since then, our team of engineers and developers—many with U.S. government backgrounds—has focused on building secure, reliable applications designed for real-world use.
Ten years later, as awareness around digital privacy, surveillance, and data exploitation has grown, so has the demand for tools built with the rigor once limited to the highest-security environments. To help meet that demand, we partnered with Shawn Ryan—former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor—who shares a deep interest in operational security, sovereignty, and personal privacy.
Together, we’re making high-assurance mobile security more accessible to a broader audience, without compromising the standards Glacier was founded on.
