Glacier is an independent company, 100% funded, owned, and controlled by its founders. We do not sell, license, sublicense, or share any data submitted by our users with any person or entity — now or in the future.
Transparency. The Glacier app has never and will never contain ads or trackers.
Account Information. You provide an email address when creating your account.
User Support. If you contact Glacier User Support, any personal data you share with us is kept only for the purposes of researching the issue and contacting you about your case.
Technical Information. We store limited technical information on our servers necessary to operate the Services, including randomly generated authentication tokens, keys, push tokens, and similar material.
DNS & VPN Data. Glacier does not store, retain, or archive any DNS or VPN activity logs. This includes the content of DNS queries and resolver activity, IP addresses, connection timestamps, bandwidth or session records, and any other personally identifiable network activity passing through our DNS or VPN infrastructure.
The only exception is a running count of the total number of queries made and the total number of queries blocked, which we retain solely to display your privacy protection statistics in the app. These are numeric totals only — they contain no domains, destinations, timestamps, or any other detail about the underlying activity.
VPN Functionality. Our app provides secure, device-level tunneling to a Glacier-managed server for safe internet browsing and device protection.
We do not monetize, redirect, or manipulate user traffic.
User traffic is routed only to the destination selected by the user.
All traffic routed through the VPN is encrypted.
We do not log, store, sell, or share user browsing data.
Phone & Calling Data. Glacier's calling features require a phone number. To provide them we collect and process: your provisioned Glacier phone number(s) and their status; call metadata (numbers, timestamps, duration) and voicemail messages including audio recordings, associated with your account and retained only as long as needed to provide the feature; and a device push token to deliver incoming calls. This data is used solely for calling and voicemail, is not used for advertising, and is not sold.
Managing Your Information. You can manage your personal information in the app's Settings. To request the removal of your data from our systems, please submit a data removal request. We will take reasonable steps to delete your data in a timely manner.
Service Processors. We use the following services as processors (as defined by the GDPR and similar regulations):
Stripe — payment processing
Amazon Web Services (AWS) — transactional emails and infrastructure
Zendesk — customer support
MailerLite — newsletters and customer outreach
Twilio — phone number provisioning, calling, and voicemail
